Career-ready Placements Community of Practice
A group of people sit around a table in an open‑plan office, discussing documents spread out in front of them.
The Career-ready Placements Community of Practice (CoP) is designed to bring staff together to enhance the quality and impact of work‑integrated learning across the University.
Through a supportive online space, the CoP enables colleagues to explore emerging challenges, share practical approaches, and celebrate what’s working across our diverse disciplines.
Who the Career‑ready Placements CoP is for:
- Academic staff involved in career‑ready placements, including program convenors and course coordinators
- Professional and placement support staff
- Any staff member contributing to the design, delivery, or administration of placements
Each quarterly session will explore:
- Sector insights and strategic updates
- Best practice examples from across the University and the broader sector
- Opportunities to connect with colleagues working in work‑integrated learning
The Career-ready Placements Community of Practice is coordinated by the Careers and Employability team. For more information about the CoP, please email career-readyplacements@newcastle.edu.au.
