LDTI’s AI Sector Voices sessions include guest presentations from experts and practitioners on a variety of GenAI and Education topics.
LDTI is pleased to welcome the University of Wollongong’s Dr Sasha Nikolic (President of the Australasian Artificial Intelligence in Engineering Education Centre) to discuss how GenAI can be integrated into engineering education as part of open-ended student projects.
Sarah will be discussing the Project-work AI Integration Framework (PAIIF) and how that has been applied within the Engineering curriculum. This will include examples from 2 common engineering courses. The first course focuses on developing foundational GenAI literacy, while the students apply GenAI in the second course as part of open-ended, team-based project work.
This session is intended for academic staff but may be applicable to anyone with an interest in how GenAI may be used with education.
