Newcastle Writers Festival presents: An Evening with Griffin Dunne

US actor, director, producer and New York Times best-selling author Griffin Dunne joins festival director Rosemarie Milsom for an insightful discussion about his family memoir, The Friday Afternoon Club, and his career in film and television. Griffin will share his Hollywood journey and reflect on the stories he’s helped bring to life.
Griffin Dunne has been an actor, producer, and director since the late 1970s. Among his work, he produced and acted in After Hours; he directed Practical Magic and the documentary The Center Will Not Hold about his aunt, Joan Didion. The Friday Afternoon Club: A Family Memoir has been named Best Book of the Year by TIME. Griffin and his dog, Mary, live in the East Village of Manhattan.
The venue bar will open at 7.00pm.
Books will be for sale and there will be a signing after the event thanks to MacLean's Booksellers.
