Heather Rose never thought she would write about her ancestor’s violent crime, but as with all her novels the author wanted to stretch her literary limits. A Great Act of Love is the result: an artfully woven historical tapestry, drawing on true stories spanning Tasmania, London and Norfolk Island. Heather speaks with Jacinta Parsons.
