Newcastle Music Festival: Impressions by Hourglass Ensemble

Since 2015 Hourglass has lead the way in commissioning and touring new Australian chamber music. The core group of founders Andrew Kennedy (clarinet) and Ewa Kowalski (flute) were joined in 2018 by Anna Rutkowska-Schock (piano), and the trio of flute, clarinet and piano, with Robert Jackson on cello and Dan Russell on violin, open this year’s Newcastle Music Festival.
