Korea meets Newcastle - Korean Music Workshop

Join us at the Conservatorium of Music for a hands-on workshop to experience Korea’s vibrant traditional music - from the heart-pounding rhythms of Pungmulnori to the fun and lively melodies of Korean traditional singing.
What you’ll experience:
- Live demonstrations & group participation. Fun and accessible for everyone!
- Learn basic Pungmul drumming patterns and movements
- Explore a traditional singing style called Minyo - learn a song!
Who is this workshop for?
People of all ages are welcome to attend this workshop. No prior experience is needed, just a love of music, world music and cultural experiences is required.
