New Annual Festival: This Land
new annual festival stage with crowd and lights in civic park
Join us for a sensational line-up of nationally renowned and local First Nations artists, and celebrate the sound, soul and spirit of the many nations of this land.
There are many voices that shape this nation, but none stronger and more connected as the First Peoples of this country. Songlines are central to First Nations people and connect the stories of land, water, sky, and lore. Songlines are a form of communication passed down from generation to generation, shaping the original nations and identity of where we call home.
City of Newcastle and the Wollotuka Institute at The University of Newcastle collaborated to bring This Land to life, as a part of the New Annual Festival.
Recommended for audiences of all ages.
* THE FULL LINE UP WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY. PLEASE REGISTER FOR UPDATES FOR THIS FREE EVENT. *
