An Evening with Noel Pearson
Two people wearing Yes t-shirts having a chat on a balcony
Noel Pearson comes from the Guugu Yimithirr community of Hope Vale on south-eastern Cape York Peninsula. He is a lawyer, land rights campaigner and founder of the Cape York Partnership and Good to Great Schools Australia, and is a member of the From the Heart Advisory Group and the Voice to Parliament Referendum Working Group.
Noel has been travelling the country sharing his vision for constitutional recognition, and we are fortunate to have him visiting us in Newcastle this month.
Now that the Prime Minister has announced the date for the Referendum - to be held on Saturday 14th October, this is an invaluable opportunity to hear from one of the key architects of the Voice and why it is so critical we say yes on Saturday October 14.
Noel will speak about his work on the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the Indigenous Voice to Parliament. This will be followed by a discussion with soon-to-be-announced panelists, and a Q and A.
