The Mark Hughes Foundation Centre for Brain Cancer Research is hosting a celebration in honour of Beanie Round where we invite the university community to come support brain cancer research and buy a beanie!
Hosted in collaboration with the Mark Hughes Foundation, this annual event is an opportunity for our community to come together, meet Mark Hughes and the team from the MHF Centre for Brain Cancer Research and learn more about the important research we’re doing here in the Hunter and across the nation in brain cancer research and patient support.
This year, we’ll be hosting The Future of Brain Cancer Research Panel - the perfect chance to come along and find out what drives the bright young minds who are dedicating their careers to brain cancer research at the University of Newcastle.
Ten years ago, there were very few, if any, dedicated brain cancer researchers. Now, we have 24 dedicated ECRs (Post-Docs and PhD students) in the Mark Hughes Foundation Centre for Brain Cancer Research dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for this scourge of a disease.
They’re joining with a growing cohort of researchers committed to this cause.
Moderated by MHF Centre Director Professor Mike Fay, six researchers will share what drives and inspires them, and where they hope their research leads.
