Alan Roberts Scholarship
“Giving a scholarship to a student is a way for us to recognise their hidden potential. Support for that should not end with one scholarship or one student. It should continue for as long as possible.”
- Professor Alan Roberts
The Professor Alan Roberts Undergraduate Scholarship in Engineering was initiated by one of Alan’s former students, Bachelor of Engineering graduate (1977), Mr CHOO Heng Thong, who wanted to recognise and thank Alan for his leadership and friendship by establishing a scholarship in his name.
Heng Thong has generously donated $100,000 to establish the scholarship. To build on this donation, we are now seeking to increase the fund to $250,000 so we can ensure it is large enough to be established as a sustainable enduring endowment.
This is your opportunity to support such students and maintain an important connection with the University, in tribute to a man who has motivated and inspired decades of Engineering students. Download the Professor Alan Roberts Undergraduate Scholarship in Engineering Fund brochure (PDF, 2093KB).
