On the day

Your graduation ceremony should be a great day for you and your fellow graduates to celebrate your achievements and success with your family and friends.

Each graduation ceremony commences and concludes with the official fanfare of the university. Throughout the ceremony formal speeches will be made by a number of presenters and includes the presentation of awards for graduates. We will also enjoy a short musical interlude showcasing the talented musicians from our university. Graduates will sit together in their degree cohort and Graduation staff will guide graduates throughout the ceremony.

Ceremonies are expected to be 1.5 to 2 hours in duration.

Graduation Ceremony package

Your Graduation package includes:

  • Academic dress hire: gown and hood (if applicable);
  • Your trencher (black cap) or bonnet (if applicable) as a memento;
  • Seating for you and up to two guests* at the ceremony;
  • Access to a copy of a photograph of you at the ceremony (an email will be sent to your preferred email account after your ceremony advising you how to access the photo).
  • Tickets for you and up to two guests* to the Graduation Reception after the ceremony
  • One group photo (Singapore only)
