Your testamur is a legal document confirming you have completed an award at the University of Newcastle and received a qualification.
It will have your legal name - as shown on other official documents, such as a birth certificate or passport – the date your award was officially conferred, the University’s seal, as well as the signatures of the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor.
Your transcript details your:
- Name
- Student number
- The name of your award
- The date it was awarded and officially conferred
- Program of study
- Term and courses enrolled
- The unit value of your courses
- Marks for any courses completed
- Grades.
The Australian Higher Education Graduate Statement (AHEGS) is an Australian Government initiative designed “to make Australian qualifications recognised and renowned throughout the world”.
AHEGS describes your qualification in a clear and consistent way to potential employers and other higher education institutions, detailing:
- Your award
- Awarding institution
- Your academic achievements
- Description of the AHEGS
You will receive a digital copy of your AHEGS during Graduation via the My eQuals system.
