Semester courses

Studying online? Scheduled Online classes appear in myTimetable and can be allocated. Flexible Online and Online with Intensives courses do not appear in myTimetable. For these courses, access your Canvas course when it becomes available and follow your Course Coordinator’s instructions. Learn more about online modes of delivery.

Class preferencing

Semester courses open for class preferencing ahead of each study term.

During the preferencing period, go to the Preference tab in myTimetable to view your enrolled courses. Where multiple class times are available, you can submit your preferred times to help build a timetable that works for you.

Check the key enrolment dates at the top of this page to find out when preferencing opens and closes for your study term.

Class allocations

After the preference period ends, myTimetable temporarily closes while the system allocates students to classes based on preferences where possible. Your allocated classes will then be released, and you will be able to view them in the Timetable tab of myTimetable.

If you enrolled after class preferencing, or if you didn't submit your preferences in time, you will be automatically allocated to non-clashing classes and activities where possible. If you still have courses which require class allocation, ‘Action Required’ will appear on your dashboard

If you need to change a class time, you can check availability or request a swap using the heart icon. If you have selected a swap, but change your mind, you will need to cancel the swap in myTimetable.  Watch out for class clashes, and reach out to AskUON if you need help.
