Health, Safety and Wellbeing Awards

Recognises and celebrates innovative initiatives and solutions development to promote, enhance or protect the health, safety and wellness of our staff and students.

The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Awards are awarded under two categories:

Individual Award
Awarded to an individual who has developed and implemented an innovative initiative or solution.

Team Award
Awarded to a team which may consist of either a work unit team or individuals from different work units whose collaboration has resulted in the implementation of an innovative initiative or solution.

Nominees must demonstrate excellence in one of the following criteria (up to 500 words):

  • Development and implementation of an innovative initiative to protect, enhance, promote or advocate for the health, safety or wellbeing of University staff or students; or
  • Development and implementation of a solution to an identified health and safety issue or risk at the University.

When addressing the criteria, any initiative, activity or project must address the impact of the initiative or solution on health and safety culture across the organisation, and must be in excess of what would be expected in the normal performance of the nominee/s duties.
