Managing Under Uncertainty (MUU) develops introductory skills concerning managerial decision making. You will develop an understanding of decision making processes with a focus on critical judgment, analytical logical reasoning and creative problem solving. You will also be introduced to decision-making challenges and contexts that are faced by managers under incomplete information and bounded rationality.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course students will be able to:

1. Explain how human behavioural and social factors influence decision making in organisations.

2. Use relevant sources to construct and support a written argument.

3. Critically evaluate the limitations of rational decision-making process models applied in organisations.

4. Demonstrate ability to reflect on own decision making in an organisational setting, as well as the decision making of others.
