Description

LANTITE: Literacy for Preservice Teachers is designed as a starting point for education students to prepare for their LANTITE literacy test. As such, we focus on assisting students in developing literacy skills necessary to achieve teacher accreditation.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of syntax and grammar (including punctuation).

2. Communicate effectively by using language conventions appropriate to audience and context.

3. Read and comprehend texts of different lengths and formats, topics, and levels of complexity.

4. Demonstrate ability to use different reading processes including: access, identify, integrate, interpret, evaluate, and reflect.
