Our Learning Support
We’re here to support our students to develop the skills they need to succeed at University and beyond. Through our Academic Learning Support team students can access one-to-one (online and face-to-face) study support, attend a PASS session or study skills workshop, or find out more about other academic services to help them with their studies.
Academic Learning Support
As part of our Academic Learning Support Team, our Learning Advisors are here to help de-mystify University learning and teaching so that students perform the best they can academically. They provide expert advice on study skills, writing skills, maths and stats, as well as research writing for Postgraduate PhD and MPhil students. Our free services include:
- Workshops on Zoom
- Learning resources, guides and templates
- Email Consultations (e-Consult)
- Individual Appointments on Zoom, Collaborate or over the phone
Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)
Part of our Academic Learning Support Team, our Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) provide a platform for students to compare notes, discuss difficult concepts and review weekly material with other students.
Sessions are led by our trained PASS leaders who previously received great grades in their courses.
PASS sessions help students to improve their analytical skills, increase motivation, improve time-management skills and help them with exam preparation.
