EDUC6772 The Adolescent Learning Environment | 20 days | Introduction to the school context and the role of the teacher. Focus on establishing a productive learning environment/ classroom and behaviour management in the 7-12 context; introduction to lesson planning within lesson ideas provided by the teacher. | Initial evidence of Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Standards 1-4 and 7 (Moving Towards Graduate Level); supervised teaching of whole class, small groups and individual tutorial teaching. |
EDUC6913 The Global Professional | 40 days | Focus on transition to the profession through demonstration, analysis and articulation of practice via full involvement in all aspects of role of the teacher; TPA e-portfolio development. | Final evidence of all Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, using teaching of whole classes and individualised learning sequences developed by the Teacher Education Student. Includes period of Solo teaching in Phase 2. |
