How to apply for sample access
Researchers can request access to NewHOPE samples by following these steps:
1. Submit a Sample Access Request
Provide detailed information on:
- Type and number of samples required
- Linked clinical data requested
- Who will use the samples and how they will be analysed
- How the generated data will be stored
Email this to: NewHope@newcastle.edu.au
We will review your enquiry and confirm whether we can provide the requested samples and information.
2. Receive Quote if the request is feasible
NewHOPE will prepare and provide a quote for the cost of sample preparation and distribution.
3. Obtain HREC Approval
Secure approval from a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC). A letter of support from NewHOPE will be provided.
4. Complete the Application Form
Fill out the formal application form and email it to NewHope@newcastle.edu.au. Please review the Access Policy before submission. The form requests researcher information, ethics approval details, sample and data request details, study logistics, publication and data sharing agreement, and the required signatures and approvals.
5. Receive Sample Distribution
Once the application is approved, the requested samples will be distributed as soon as they are prepared and ready for distribution.
