Tamworth campus

The University of Newcastle Tamworth Campus is located within the purpose-built Tamworth Education Centre on Johnston Street, providing a dedicated environment for health education, clinical learning and student life.

Opening in 2027, the campus will offer the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery and Master of Midwifery, supported by contemporary simulation labs, teaching and study spaces and strong connections with local health services. Students will also have access to on-site accommodation and a range of recreational and cultural spaces, including tennis and basketball courts, BBQ facilities and cultural reflection spaces.

As part of the University’s established Department of Rural Health, Tamworth Campus provides an immersive regional learning experience, with rural placements for medicine and allied health students continuing alongside the new nursing and midwifery programs.
