Thinking about a rural health placement in Tamworth? Step into Tamworth, Australia’s Country Music Capital! This thriving regional city in northeast NSW blends a strong healthcare network with a vibrant community, rich history, and stunning outdoor spaces.
Campus
From 2027, the campus will offer the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery and Master of Midwifery (Graduate Entry), supported by contemporary simulation labs, teaching and study spaces and strong connections with local health services.
Location
Comprising the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health's established Tamworth Education Centre on Johnston Street and the DRH Building located within the Tamworth Hospital precinct, the Tamworth Campus is close to the Tamworth CBD, local health services, shops, cafés and community facilities. The campus will provide a dedicated space for study, clinical learning and student life, with on-site accommodation and recreational facilities available to students.
