Research Publications - Data Collection

The University collects research publications data in a wide range of reference types and categories. Specific areas of published output are reported to the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE) and result in funding allocations returned to the University as part of the Commonwealth Block Grant Funding allocations such as Joint Research Engagement (JRE) and Research Training Scheme (RTS).

The 2011 research publications collection is underway, with DIISRTE recently releasing the Specifications for the Collection of 2011 Data. The deadline to submit 2011 publications is 31 March 2012. You can send them electronically to publications@newcastle.edu.au or in hard copy to HERDC Publications, Auchmuty Library.
