Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Research Excellence
The Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Research Excellence recognises the significant contribution to research excellence made by University of Newcastle's talented early career and mid career researchers.
The awards fall into the following categories:
-
an award for an outstanding researcher from each faculty and the Wollotuka Institute;
-
an award for an outstanding researcher from a campus other than Callaghan and Newcastle (hospitals and city precincts); and
-
the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Research Excellence, which is presented to the most outstanding nomination received for a faculty/Wollotuka, or regional campus award.
Winners of a faculty/Wollotuka or regional campus award will receive $2,000 (paid as salary or a travel grant) and a certificate. The recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Research Excellence will receive $10,000 (paid as a research grant held at the University of Newcastle) and a certificate.
