Scoring Index
Each Case study will be assessed according to the Reach and Significance of the impact, with the following definitions:
- Reach: The spread or breadth of influence or effect on the relevant constituencies;
- Significance: the intensity of the influence or effect.
Following assessment, a rating will be assigned to each case study:
- A = Outstanding impacts in terms of reach and significance;
- B = Very considerable;
- C = Considerable;
- D = Recognised but modest;
- E = The research impact is of limited reach or significance;
- Not classified = The impact was not underpinned by research or the link between the research and the claimed impact has not been demonstrated to the Assessment Panel’s satisfaction
