Description
Using the concept of woman-centredness, this course provides opportunities for students to continue translating theory into practice during continuity of care experiences with childbearing women. It is the fifth in a suite of six professional experience courses designed to prepare students for registration as a midwife. The course provides specialised, progressive theory and skills development through simulated learning and midwifery professional experience, with particular emphasis on students working with women in continuity during late pregnancy, in labour and while giving birth, and in the postnatal time.
