The University of Newcastle Public Lecture Series
The support of the community ensured the establishment and future of our University, and the University has worked hard to build the social, education and innovation capital of each of its communities.
Our public lecture series shares knowledge and expertise with our communities, and facilitates thought leadership, innovation and robust debate which have been a part of the 'UoN DNA'.
Presented by local, national and international speakers, the Public Lecture Series aims to raise public awareness, promote community engagement and encourage debate on issues of regional and global interest. Most of the lectures occur at Newcastle City Hall.
The New Professors Talk is a dynamic monthly lecture series held at the Newcastle Museum from May 2013 presenting the new professors at our University to our community, and shares the knowledge and expertise of these leading commentators and thinkers.
University events and lectures, and alumni events can be found on the University Events Calendar.
