The Newcastle Law School welcomes Ian Lloyd QC as a Conjoint Associate Professor.
The Newcastle Law School is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Lloyd QC as a Conjoint Associate Professor. Mr Lloyd's appointment will bring his experience in criminal law and his profile as a barrister to contribute to the teaching and community engagement of the School..
Ian Lloyd QC is one of the leading silks practising at the criminal Bar in Sydney. He was formerly the Senior Crown Prosecutor for NSW and Senior Crown Counsel and Consultant to the Hong Kong government. He is still a member of the Hong Kong Bar. He served as a Justice of the Court of Appeal of Fiji in 2008-2009. He has experience lecturing in various law courses at the University of Technology Sydney, Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Notre Dame Sydney. He is the lead author of an annotated version of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act published by LexisNexis. Ian will contribute to the Newcastle Law School by lecturing in one of his areas of expertise, the law of evidence.
