Competitive entry
Successful completion of your program will enable competitive entry into all degrees at the University of Newcastle.
Guaranteed entry
Upon successful completion of your program, you are guaranteed entry into over 70 degrees at the University of Newcastle.
How to apply
There are a few ways you can apply for your undergraduate study degree based on your pathway. Use the tool below to find your application route.
Your options
Pathways Students
Applications for Semester 1, 2026 will open Monday 25 August 2025, and will close Sunday 30 November 2025. Offers will be released Friday 12 December 2025.
If you are completing your Pathways program this semester, or completed last semester, there are two options for applying into an undergraduate degree from your Enabling Pathways program:
Internal:
Applications Open Monday 25 August for degrees offered in Semester 1 2026, at the University of Newcastle.
The following programs will require a UAC application and are not available through the Your Next Move or internal transfer process:
- Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Honours) (Diagnostic Radiography)
- Bachelor of Midwifery
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)
- Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)
- Joint Medical Program *Excluded programs are reviewed annually and may change.
Submit your UAC application before 30 September 2025 to be eligible for the Early Bird Fee. For details on application costs, please refer to UAC's Applicant Processing Charges

Upon successful completion of your Pathway program, you are guaranteed entry into selected degrees at the University of Newcastle.
Diploma students
Applications for Semester 1, 2026 will open Monday 25 August 2025, and will close Sunday 30 November 2025. Offers will be released Friday 12 December 2025.
As a current Diploma student, you will need to complete an Internal Transfer to apply for your undergraduate degree program.
