The University of Newcastle, Australia

Professional development

Completing a Postgraduate qualification will help you to keep on top of emerging trends and develop specialised skills to advance your career.

To support your professional development and help you tailor this around your busy life, we also offer free online courses designed to enhance your knowledge and skill set in a specific area of interest. These courses also provide the option to purchase a verified certificate that can be included in your resume and may satisfy any compulsory professional development you need to undertake. Some courses also offer credit into targeted Masters programs.

Advanced training courses

The course has Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) approval and accreditation from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).

Non-award study

If you want to study one or more subjects without advancing to an award – such as a degree or diploma – you can undertake non-award study.

You can apply for non-award admission as preliminary work for a higher degree, for professional requirements or because of an interest in the area.

You complete the course as any other student, attending lectures, tutorials, exams and assessments, and your results will be recorded on your University of Newcastle transcript.

Find out more information on how to choose a single course and apply to undertake non-award study.
