Orientation

Orientation is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce students to life and study at University of Newcastle. Held the week before your classes start, Orientation makes the transition to university life easier for you.

Supplies

As with most university course you will need to purchase a few other supplies to assist you with your studies. These supplies can include a computer, notebook, pens, paper and course specific items (eg. art and design supplies). Students can access lots of software for free, including a huge 1TB of cloud storage. View what's available.

Textbooks

You can purchase your textbooks by visiting the School Locker shop on campus or online. Textbooks can be costly, so don’t purchase them until you have finalised your courses. Visit the School Locker website to find out what you need for your course.

Please note: the textbook for your course may not be finalised until Orientation or Week 1 of Semester.
