How to Save Money on Groceries in Australia

Shopping Centres

Most shopping centers have the following trading hours:

Mon, Tues, Wed, FriThursdaySaturdaySunday
9am – 5:30pm9am – 9pm9am – 5pm10am – 4pm

*Supermarkets are often open longer hours than the shopping centres.

Supermarkets, health services, gyms, movie theatres and restaurants are often located in these shopping centres but have longer opening hours.

The three major supermarkets for groceries are Woolworths, Coles and ALDI.

The two major shopping centres in Newcastle are Charlestown Square and Westfield Kotara. Both have paid parking and public transport stops at their main entrances.

The major shopping centres on the Central Coast are Westfield Tuggerah and Erina Fair and Sydney of course has several major shopping centres! Westfield malls are very common in Australia.

These are the closest shopping centres to each of our campuses. They are smaller centres, but each contains at least one supermarket for groceries, a department stall for clothing and homewares, and a few other retail outlets:
