Accepting your offer - International Students

Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Newcastle. We look forward to welcoming you to Newcastle. You can find additional pre-departure information at Before you Leave.

To accept your offer you will need to:

  1. Check the details of your offer carefully and make sure you read and understand the conditions of your enrolment
  2. Meet any conditions outlined in your offer letter
  3. Complete and sign the offer acceptance
  4. Upload your acceptance, evidence of payment and OSHC (if self-arranged) using Newcastle's online application portal
  5. Make your deposit payment using one of the options outlined below

We recommend that you keep a copy of your offer acceptance and your deposit payment for your own records.

The University of Newcastle accepts multiple payment methods for International Student fees. The below outlines the available options for international students to make their deposit. Please note that you should only pay your deposit once you have an unconditional offer. Deposit payments should be made directly to the University.

How To Pay Your Deposit

We recommend that all students make their payment by following the payment link found in the "How To Pay The Deposit" box within their offer letter. Payments can be made via the following methods:

  • Mastercard
  • Flywire

Campus Accommodation Guarantee for 2024

Campus Accommodation Guarantee for 2024

Securing accommodation on-campus has never been more challenging in Australia, and we know how much this can impact students at the start of their study experience. The University will guarantee an on-campus bed for commencing 2024 students who accept their unconditional offer and pay their course deposit within two weeks of receiving it. This guarantee applies to all intakes in 2024, but beds are limited so act fast to lock in your place.

Sponsorship or scholarship

If you are in receipt of a scholarship, please provide a copy of the financial guarantee or sponsor letter with your offer acceptance. Your financial guarantee or sponsor letter should outline the:

  • program being sponsored
  • duration of the scholarship
  • contact information of the sponsor
  • total amount of funds you will receive including:
    • tuition fees
    • living expenses
    • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
    • any other expenses
  • if the payment will be made directly to the University.

Please be aware that your payment options may be affected by Australia's sanctions laws. These laws can limit the University's ability to process payments and issue refunds to students from certain countries.  Check the list of sanctioned countries.
