HunterWiSEEstablishment
HunterWiSE would like to support female participation in STEM careers. It is intended but not required that scholars will engage in HunterWiSE initiatives. Scholars will be invited to apply for HunterWiSE mentor roles and are encouraged to participate in HunterWiSE Network events.

- Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours)
- Bachelor of Data Science
- Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Mathematics
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Renewable Energy Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Science - Major Chemistry
- Bachelor of Science - Major Physics
- Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Surveying (Honours)

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you will need to:
- Be enrolled in your first year of one of the eligible programs for this scholarship.
- Be female.
- Be enrolled full-time.
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (includes New Zealand Permanent Residents).
- Not be the recipient of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.
Required Documentation
Required documents will be listed on the ‘Your Documents’ page of your application. The application portal accepts PDF only. A maximum of 3 PDF smaller than 5 MB can be added per document type upload field.

Benefit
The scholarship provides a total benefit of $5,000 over 1-year tenure and must be taken up in the year for which it is awarded.
Selection
No application is required for this scholarship.
The scholarship will be awarded automatically following the relevant semester main Admissions intakes.
Available scholarships will awarded to the highest ranked eligible student/s, with consideration given to the following, in order:
- Academic merit, namely Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR)
- Completion of Australian Year 12 in the year prior to study
- Programs with the lowest female participation in that year
- Relocation from a rural or remote area to study.
