Senior Rwandan academic and Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic joins CARE-P and the University of Newcastle’s TVET Think Tank
CARE-P executive member Professor Shirley Randell AO has been liaising with both, Dr James Gashumba, Vice Chancellor of Rwanda Polytechnic, and Eng Pascal Gatabazi, the Director General of the Workforce Development Authority, who are the key leaders driving Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) developments in Rwanda.

CARE-P refurbished and commissioned Accra Psychiatric Hospital VIP Ward in time to fight COVID
The Centre for African Research, Engagement and Partnerships (CARE-P) was a lead agency in partnership with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Foundation of Ghana in securing DFAT funding to redesign/refurbish the VIP ward and to also construct a 10 seater toilet block at the Cured Leper’s Village, Godokpe-Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana.

CARE-P-Bringing Sanitation to the Cured Leper’s Village in Ghana
CARE-P is leading a multi-agency submission through the Australian Direct Aid Program to build a 10 seater communal toilet block in a Recovered Leper’s Village in Ho, Ghana West Africa. Supported through Australian High Commission Ghana and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Endeavour Leadership Program to Kenya
Funding support from the Federal Government’s Endeavour Leadership program has enabled a group of 10 University of Newcastle students to travel through Kenya.
