Understanding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs)
Understanding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) – Patricia Garcia AO 7:05
This microlearning aims to explain the origin of the SDGs. In September 2015, all 193 countries came together for a historical occasion, to formally adopt and commit to a shared vision that must be achieved by 2030. These are the 17 SDGs with 169 targets which are a plan to build a sustainable future in which we will all live.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
