Vice-Chancellor's Division
The Vice-Chancellor’s Division provides strategic leadership, governance oversight and institutional coordination to help deliver on the University’s vision, purpose, values and long-term success. The Division plays a central role in supporting effective decision-making, organisational performance, and the delivery of the University's strategic objectives.
The Division helps ensure the University operates with strong governance and sound stewardship, and acts as a central point of coordination between the Vice-Chancellor, University Council, academic leadership, external partners and the broader University community. Its functions span executive leadership, governance, legal, Regional Campuses, and philanthropy. The Division supports institution-wide planning and strategic and operational coordination, enabling the University to respond effectively to opportunities, challenges, and an evolving higher education landscape.
Through leadership, oversight, and strategic coordination, the Vice-Chancellor's Division enables the University to achieve its goals, enhance institutional performance, and create lasting impact for students, staff, partners, and the communities it serves.
Academic Division
The Academic Division’s focus is on supporting an outstanding student experience and preparing graduates for life and work in an increasingly interconnected society. At its core, the Division aims to ensure students experience a high-quality, inclusive and future-focused learning journey, from their first enquiry and transition into university through to study, progression, graduation and beyond. Its responsibilities span domestic and international student recruitment, global learning and partnerships, academic governance, student conduct and student administration, learning design and development, careers and employability; and the quality of the University’s educational programs.
The Division supports academic staff to strengthen teaching practice, enhance curriculum quality and respond to the changing needs of students, industry and society. Through student-centred services, innovative educational practice and strong partnerships, the Division translates the University’s strategic priorities into practical outcomes that advance student success, academic excellence and global engagement.
Engagement and Equity Division
The Engagement and Equity division leads work that strengthens the University’s relationships with communities, advances equity and inclusion, and embeds Indigenous strategy and leadership across the institution. The Division brings together areas that support access, participation, public engagement and social impact.
The Division’s purpose is to connect the University with the people, places and communities it serves. It supports equitable access to higher education, strengthens pathways for students from diverse backgrounds, and helps build culturally safe, inclusive and socially responsive environments. Its communications and engagement, government relations and 2NURFM community radio station help tell the University’s story, shape public understanding and deepen partnerships across the region and beyond. Through Indigenous leadership and the Wollotuka Institute, the Division also plays a critical role in advancing Indigenous education, strategy, representation and self-determination within the University’s work.
Research and Innovation Division
The Research and Innovation division cultivates the University's strong and vibrant research culture to solve real-world problems. The Division leads the University’s research strategy, research performance, industry engagement, graduate research and innovation ecosystem. Its work spans research development, commercialisation, entrepreneurship, regional transformation, energy and resources, and graduate research training.
Through this work, the Division drive its core purpose of enabling excellent research, supporting research students, growing external partnerships and translate ideas into impact. It attracts, trains and supports researchers, connects the University with industry and community partners, and helps turn discovery into practical solutions.
Resources Division
The Resources Division provides the operational, financial, digital, infrastructure and service foundations that enable the University to function effectively. The Division supports the University’s teaching, research, engagement and student experience by ensuring people, systems, facilities and resources are aligned to institutional priorities.
The Division’s purpose is to create a reliable and integrated operating environment for the University. It manages financial stewardship, workforce support, campus infrastructure, digital platforms, library services, risk management, planning and performance reporting. These functions are essential to sustaining a safe, efficient and high-performing institution. By bringing together core professional services, the Resources Division enables academic and research activity to be delivered at scale and with consistency. It helps ensure the University has the physical campuses, digital systems, financial frameworks, workforce capability and operational resilience required to support students, staff, researchers and partners.
