DJ Lawson takes top spot in grand final for third year running!
After 5 hard-fought heats, the winner of the 2018 UON DJ Comp has been crowned.
UON student Harry Michel, known on the decks as DJ Lawson, has scored his third title victory before an exuberant crowd at Bar on the Hill.
Lawson scores the headline set at this year’s Autonomy Day Party, plus a 1-hour DJ set on RawFM.
Runner-up Linxar (Jack Lynch) secures a set at one of UON’s major 2018 parties.
The wild card prize went to Teddyboii, earning him a one-on-one master class with DJ coach Jordan Smith.
This year’s contest saw the introduction of the People’s Choice Award, which invited audience members to vote for their favourite performer.
Joint winners of the first ever People’s Choice Award were SLIPPRS (Henry Whiteside) and DIPPER (Mitch Kroehnert.
Voters were entered into a draw for a $50 bar tab courtesy of Bar on the Hill, with student Grace McLean getting the goods.
UON Student Central wishes to thank Bar on the Hill, RawFM, Launch Agency and all the dance fans who came to see what these DJs could do!
