Information about Semester 2 and Trimester 3 examinations
With current social distancing practices remaining in place, Semester 2 and Trimester 3 formal examinations will be delivered online through Blackboard.
Formal online exams will offered in one of two options:
1. Timed Exam (Fixed Start) - Students must complete the exam within the allocated period of time advised in Blackboard. All students complete the exam at the same time regardless of their time zone (unless advised differently by the School).
2. Timed Exam (Flexible Start) - Students must complete the exam within the allocated time but may commence within a 9 hour period.
Important information
Exam timetables will be released on 1 October. Keep an eye on your inbox for your timetable release notification and any extra info about exams.
- Exam start times will be 10am and 2pm AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).
- Most exams will be a maximum of two hours in duration.
- All exams will be ‘open book’ format. While there are no restrictions placed on resources available to students, the usual academic integrity rules, including those relating to assistance from other people will apply.
- Always check your course site on Blackboard for updated information about assessments and exams, and contact your course coordinator if you need clarification.
- You may also have school based assessments prior to the formal exam period. Check your course Blackboard site for assessment details, including timing.
