Professor Philip McIntyre to guest panel at Songwriting Studies Research Network (SSRN) event
Professor Phillip McIntyre has been invited as a guest panellist to take part in the latest Songwriting Studies Research Network (SSRN) event being held in London.
For this event, called ‘Why We Write Songs’, Prof McIntyre has been described as an academic from The University of Newcastle, Australia and ‘the author of many acclaimed books and articles exploring how creative practice works’. He was also invited as the inaugural keynote speaker at the first SSRN event where he was lauded as a founding figure in the new field of songwriting studies. It is here that he met Sophie Daniels who is organising this latest event for the SSRN which is taking place virtually on the 18th May. It is the final edition in a series exploring the motivations that drive creatives to write songs, share stories and connect with each other through music.
