Family legacy supporting Indigenous education

Frances Doherty is proud to honour her father, Jack Doherty, whose activism to bring change for Indigenous students had an indelible impact on the University’s history. Nathan Towney, Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Leadership was the 2003 recipient of the Jack Doherty Undergraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students.

Arts scholarship inspires Nik's novel approach

Nik Ynez is the 2023 recipient of the Patricia Jensen Arts Scholarship, established from the estate of Patricia Jensen (nee Smith) to honour her love of literature and the arts.
