Running from 10am to 2pm, Central Coast Open Day will offer the community a chance to explore the University’s new facilities and discover what student life on the Coast is all about.

University of Newcastle Executive Dean of Regional Campuses, Professor Michael Bowyer said Open Day is a great way to experience what life studying on the Coast feels like.

“There has never been a better time to study on the Central Coast," Professor Bowyer said.

"With our new Gosford Central building now open and new student accommodation underway, we're really excited for Gosford Central to host the main activities for Open Day this year.

“More than 2,000 students are now studying in Gosford, so there's a real buzz about the place. We’re working hard with local businesses to make Gosford a vibrant and engaging place to study. Whether you’re finishing high school or thinking about a career-change, come along and chat to the team about your study options.”

The new Gosford Central location will host information sessions showcasing the University’s range of degree’s, student club activations, an expo, guided tours, and live performances from students.

Nearby, the Central Coast Clinical School at Gosford Hospital will offer tours of the purpose-built facilities, simulation laboratories, consultation rooms and medical teaching facilities.

At Ourimbah, student tours will include the specialist Food Science, Oral Health Therapy and Podiatric Medicine laboratories.

A free event shuttle bus will help visitors make the most of their day, looping between the Central Coast campuses; Ourimbah, Central Coast Clinical School and Gosford Central.
