DJ Comp back in business
With dancing given the green light in NSW once again, aspiring student DJs are preparing for a return to live performance with the 2021 University of Newcastle DJ Comp.
The 2020 competition went ahead like many events last year; broadcast via livestream on Facebook, Twitch or Zoom. For events such as the DJ and Band Comps, the absence of an audience was the biggest difference.
Almost any live performer will tell you that their performance thrives on the enthusiasm and participation of a crowd, particularly one with the freedom to dance and cheer.
It is that kind of energy students can expect to find at each of the four scheduled events at the legendary Bar on the Hill, free of charge!
Enjoy hours of big beats, breaks and drops while celebrating live music and cheering on your fellow students as they compete for sweet prizes.
Catch each showdown in the 2021 DJ Comp:
- Heat 1 | MON 19 APR
- Heat 2 | TUE 20 APR
- Heat 3 | WED 21 APR
- Grand Final | WED 5 MAY
Want to compete? Entries are now open.
