Cuplet birthday brings David Malouf, Omar Sakr and more
On August 15th, award-winning Australian novelist and poet David Malouf comes to Newcastle to headline Cuplet Poetry Night's one year celebration. He joins queer Arab-Australian poet Omar Sakr and a line-up of extraordinary contemporary talent.

Over the last twelve months, Cuplet has brought poets from Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, ACT, and as far as the US, the Netherlands and Shanghai.
This birthday event brings award-winning novelist and poet David Malouf, as well as poets Omar Sakr, Toby Fitch, Anna Forsyth, Holly Isemonger, Sarah Pearce and Richard Tipping.
University students and faculty are invited to come along to celebrate a successful year of top class poetry events here in Newcastle.
