Equity and Diversity in Medical Education
The University of Newcastle is committed to encouraging diversity in the next generation of Australian doctors. As part of celebrating 40 years of medicine at our University, we have launched the Equity and Diversity in Medical Education Scholarship Fund to help ambitious, talented students facing barriers to a medical education.
Whether students come from low-SES or Indigenous backgrounds, are first in family to attend university, or come from rural and remote communities, the financial pressures of gaining a medical education can be challenging. With support they can be part of the next generation of a vibrant and diverse medical workforce.
