Congratulations to FEDUA's HEPPP grant awardees
FEDUA researchers from the School of Education and the nascent School of Creative Industries who have been awarded competitive Federal Government funding in the 2016 Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Programme (HEPPP) National Priorities Pool round announced this week. The two FEDUA-led projects are responsible for more than 50% of the total funding awarded to UON.

Jacqueline Bailey to Present at World’s Largest Modelling, Simulation and Training Conference
It would appear that first time was a charm for recent Bachelor of Information Technology (First Class Honours) graduate, Jacqueline Bailey (pictured). Jacqueline was awarded the best research paper prize at premier national technology, academia and industry collaboration event, the Australasian Simulation Congress, which was held in Melbourne from September 26th to 29th.

Laureate professor honoured for lifetime achievement
University of Newcastle Laureate Professor Graeme Jameson AO has been honoured as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC), held in Quebec City, Canada.
