Older Persons Legal Clinic

The University of Newcastle Legal Centre runs a specialist Older Persons Legal Clinic which runs alongside our regular legal advice clinic.

Services

  • The Older Persons Legal Clinic operates approximately 46 weeks each year
  • Clinics are drop in during University Semesters and by appointment only outside of Semester
  • Law students are involved in interviewing and undertaking legal work under the supervision of fully qualified lawyers
  • All legal advice is provided by qualified lawyers
  • The service is primarily advice only, although further casework may be undertaken depending upon resources

Location

Most advice clinics operate on Level 5 of NUspace, located at 409 Hunter St, Newcastle.

Appointments are also available in Gosford on the Central Coast.

Fees

All legal advice is provided free of charge.
