The experience of a lifetime awaited 27 Scholars from the Ma & Morley Scholarship Program who travelled to China for a 12-day cultural immersion earlier this year to broaden their global awareness, connect with other cultures and gain insight into life in China.

For 50 years, Open Foundation has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for people of the Hunter and Central Coast regions. The first pathway program in Australia, Open Foundation has enabled tens of thousands of students who don’t have the qualifications required for direct entry into university to begin their higher education journey.

Frances Doherty is proud to honour her father, Jack Doherty, whose activism to bring change for Indigenous students had an indelible impact on the University’s history. Nathan Towney, Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Leadership was the 2003 recipient of the Jack Doherty Undergraduate Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students.
