Program details
Impact Ready runs over 10 weeks, and requires a minimum time commitment of 20 hours over this period. During the program you will gain access to hands-on training, small-group coaching, and direct engagement with industry leaders. Impact Ready culminates in a showcase where you’ll pitch your research to potential collaborators and investors. Schedule
Impact Ready will be delivered over 10 weeks
Monday 15 September through to Monday 24 November
The minimum time commitment throughout the program is 20 hours.
This will include:
- Weeks 1,3,5,7,11: In-person workshops from 9AM-12:30PM (Callaghan Campus)
- Weeks 2,4,6,8: Optional small group coaching sessions with internal and external experts (Zoom)
- Week 9: Program Showcase and Networking event (Q Building, City Campus)

This program will help you:
- Connect with industry partners
- Explore which impact pathways are right for you
- Communicate your research for maximum impact
- Generate a set of assets to make external outreach efficient and effective
- Meet colleagues from different Schools and Colleges
- Better understand the support available across the University
- Access 1:1 support during and post-program
Who is it for?
University of Newcastle academic staff and HDR students who:
- Are conducting industrially-relevant research
- Have begun to explore different impact pathways
- Can fully commit to the in-person fortnightly workshops
- Are eager to learn and open to feedback
