Moderated by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Engagement and Equity Nathan Towney, this session features alumnus Mark Aubrey, CEO of Sydney FC, as he shares insights from his fascinating and unconventional career.

Before entering the world of sport, Mark spent over two decades in the entertainment industry. He managed major video game franchises, including Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, oversaw blockbuster films such as The Dark Knight and The Hobbit, and played a key role in launching iconic TV shows like Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, and Friends.

Mark’s transition into the sports industry was unexpected. In this conversation, he reflects on the lessons, challenges, and opportunities that shaped his journey from entertainment to elite sport, leveraging his Bachelor of Business to navigate this unique career path.
