No need to register! As soon as you graduate from the University you are considered a member of the alumni community. Past and present members of academic staff and of the University Council are also members.

Graduates from our former institutions are also included. These are the Newcastle Teachers College; National Arts School; Newcastle University College (Tighes Hill); Newcastle Conservatorium of Music; Newcastle College of Advanced Education; and the Hunter Institute of Higher Education.

Study Abroad, Exchange Students and Enabling Program participants are considered Associate Alumni.

Yes. In order to receive all the benefits the alumni are entitled to it is important that your contact details are kept up to date. You can update them here.

A testamur is the formal certificate of your award with the University seal and signatures of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor.

As a graduate, you can request a copy of your academic transcript or replacement testamur for a small fee. You can order online or by phoning the University Enquiries line on 1300 ASK UON.

Please note, due to privacy laws the University of Newcastle Office of Alumni and Philanthropy is not able to supply academic information to potential employers or graduates. Any requests for this information should be directed to Student Central by email to transcripts@newcastle.edu.au or by requesting the transcript as above.
